2001 – Founded by David Merchant as a small welding shop
2003 – Incorporated as Merchant Iron Works Inc.
2006 & 2008 – Awarded Sumter Manufacturer of the Year
2008 – Moved to larger 32,000 sq ft facility
2022–2023 – Major expansion in equipment and facility (added 10,000+ sq ft)
